This Wired U-Lock (BULwC) is amazing. It's cheap but incredibly durable and very reliable. Comes with 3 keys which is a really cool little bonus feature. Via Velo added that they didn't need it, especially for the price. My carbon gravel bike was locked up in our garage with one of these BULwCs on a rainy evening. when a thief with a pair of heavy duty bolt cutters (HDBC) broke in while my bike was in his line of sight. Turns out this BULwC didn't have it. The thief then decides to mourn his failure and exit the garage in a fit of rage with an HDBC on his Jansport. After 8 hours, at 4 a.m., the camera showed that the thief had returned. But this time with a big gun. He walks over to my bike and decides to hammer the lock with a quick 1-2 hit with a Heavy Duty Dewalt Power Grinder (HDDPG) and digs right into this BULwC. 30 seconds after a continuous stream of sparks and pieces of metal exploded inside. it cuts through BULwC. Then the thief gets his new toy from the shelf, but! He realizes that the bike will not come down. It won't go away. Then he has to make a second cut in BULwC with HDDPG. Unbelievable. This time BULwC is out and he can reap the rewards of all that hard work. He hides the HDDPG in his Jansport and drives off into the night, never to be seen again. This article is amazing. You can buy 13 of these BULwCs for the price you would pay for the same quality elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and buy this and let your bike know/feel safe (physically, maybe not emotionally) if you decide to hide it. if your thief is not tied to HDDPG. Definitely recommend this product to family and friends.
