After a recent great fondue at La Grange Saint-Michel in Paris, we returned to New York City, determined to buy our vintage fondue pot from the late 1970's back in Operation. useless alcohol burner, uneven heating, oil swimming. Chaos. So we did some internet research and found this Rival pot and voila, perfection! Even gives a quick heat, nothing but pleasure. We use safflower oil. Plain plain fondue. Set the temperature and cook. Stable construction with a low base. Fully submersible, making it ideal for cleaning. Stainless steel only, so no problem with Teflon. The delivery includes 8 fondue forks, so that two people can prepare many pieces at the same time. Inexpensive and as reliable as our toaster. Very well done. Prepare a simple Bérnaise for sauces and try a hearty tartar mayonnaise for another. I am 100% satisfied with this device. Ready to use, simply remove from the box, fill with oil and cook.
