I bought this cheap alternative to ugly plain USB sound cards so my son can use his headset while I use mine while playing PC and console games. Until he was disappointed. My son loves the LED snake logo and the fact that it "glows in the dark". The braided cable provides extra protection for the wire when things get a little rough and try to get away with the headset. I didn't experience any loss in audio quality at all when using it. Two extra USB ports on top of my desk instead of downstairs where my computer is tucked away make it more convenient to charge or sync something. The only two complaints I've found are in no way a deal breaker and basically boil down to me trying to find something wrong. Overall very happy with the purchase Pros: Spare USB port Braided cable for durability Rubberized plastic making it nice and durable LED snake logo is cool Can support standalone headset Standalone mic or combo mic for headset No problem with 3.5- mm sockets Cons: No way to close the LED. No rubber feet on the bottom to prevent slipping
