Won’t work if you have a cover on your Mac book
I had a dongle style adapter but only had one USB port so I wanted a new adapter with multiple USB ports and HDMI. This one fit the bill. I got it and installed it but it wouldn’t plug in because I have a hard cover on the lid and the bottom of my MacBook to protect it from scratches. Needless to say, I had to remove the bottom portion of the hard protective cover in order for this adapter to plug in to the side of my Mac. I didn’t realize that so I hope this helps other people who are looking to by this adapter
