Solid Performer: my feedback

I have used these in two separate scenarios and they have performed great.Scenario 1: I used this as a 5GHz Omni AP in the house and had great coverage. I know they are directional, but they covered the entire house (all directions). This was a temporary set-up that served its purpose well.Scenario 2: This time it is a bridge from one house to another a block away. I had Line Of Sight between two other buildings and it setup very well. I have the same speed test performance across this bridge…

Pros
  • ‎12.2 x 9.2 x 2.8 inches
Cons
  • The product may experience interference from other wireless devices in the vicinity

getting great speeds in an outdoor barn environment

Configured this as an AP over the weekend, getting great speeds in an outdoor barn environment. Setup was easy, so far device and connection is stable.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • The product may require frequent resetting to maintain stable connectivity

Mr. Network Bridge for my opinion

Setup was straight forward. Connected two houses withing 500 feet. Configured for lowest transmit power settings to minimize noise. Since it runs at 5 Ghz I get good bandwidth, 60 Meg per sec. with internet speed check. Been installed for 6 weeks now with no issues.Update: Mar '18: Still running strong! Very well built and reliable. Highly Recommended

Pros
  • Internal 10 dBi directional antenna
Cons
  • The product requires a PoE injector, which can be an additional expense

I'm new to networking so taking that into consideration there is definitely a learning curve in setting these up. I used two of these to get internet to a shed that is about 100 ft from the house and it's worked great once I got past the set up stage.

Pros
  • Good product with a good sound, am very satisfied with itSatisfied Customer
Cons
  • The range of the product may not be as long as advertised, especially in areas with a lot of interference

Excellent! for my opinion

Excellent product.Used to link cabin to workshop at a distance of 150'. Easy setup, installation and simple to configure. When I leave for the winter I simply store them inside,

Easy to set up and works great

Used to set up a network between two neighboring houses (in the country, about 100 yards apart) to stream HD movies from my Plex server. Works perfectly and no trouble at all to set up!

Pros
  • great product, will purchase again
Cons
  • The setup process can be a bit complicated for those who are not tech-savvy

Great range, outdoor

Great range, outdoor, easy to setup. EnGenius is becoming the new standard in SMB WIFI deployment. We use these exclusively over our old standard, the Apple Airport products.

Pros
  • Easy to set up with the help of their you tube videos.
Cons
  • The product is quite expensive compared to other wireless bridges and access points in the market

Very good product. It works perfectly for me.

It's a great product, with a lot of options for configuring your network structure as you want. For advanced topologies or network structure you must have some acknowledge of networking. But the integrated web page located within this device makes you do the basics pretty easy.It does not have a hard construction but for home and little businesses it does the job prefectly. The only thing that I am disappointed about it is its lack of communication through 802.11a standard. This is the only…

Pros
  • Works as expected
Cons
  • The product is not very portable and may be difficult to move from place to place

WORKS GREAT BUT DON'T EXPECT HELP FROM THE DOCUMENTATION

The device works great but the documentation is terrible. I don't know why companies do this to themselves but unless you are familiar with these sorts of things it could get very frustrating. However, it is set up and has been running continuously on two rooftops of tall buildings without fail for a couple months now.I will use them again in the future but really, pay a technical writer to create useful documentation. If we find a similar product with good performance and good documentation we

Pros
  • Use these all the time for bridging to buildings together, good high speed, solid connection
Cons
  • Would not work consistently and revain won't let me return the product!!!

This is an amazing unit. It has very high output and allows a bridge for your lap top to a WIFI access point. It is weather proof and has a very nice case. I set it up in just a few minutes. Set it up from my laptop in the bridge mode and DHCP, then did a search for an access point. It gave me a list to choose from and the Name and signal strength of each in the listing. After I picked one then it asked me for the password for the WIFI access point I chose. I then put in the PW for the WIFI…

Pros
  • Works as described!
Cons
  • The product may require frequent firmware updates, which can be time-consuming

If does not work good for me

It's useless and does not work properly unless you buy a bunch of accessories for it. Don't buy this product ‎3.9 Inches.

Works for me! for my opinion

Reviews are mixed on this item. I have had no issues that were not my fault. For example. this fits in the AC socket with the ethernet cables facing up and thus become a strain to pull the adapter out of the socket, I had to find a way to attach the cable such that they were flat on the wall above the adapter. Periodically check for the 3 green lights and if they are on you are good to go. I would recommend this product but there may be other ones out there that do just as good a job that I am…

Pros
  • worked great!!!!!!
Cons
  • I returned mine. Kept getting disconnects.

Works great! for my opinion

This is our second set, the first did not survive a Thunderstorm. Interestingly enough this second set although identical has more robust looking power adapter and PoE injector. The power adapter now has three prong plug versus the old two prong and the PoE injector is larger and heavier looking. I use these to bridge my home and workshop that is about 100 feet away. No change in data speed noted, very fast video streams very well at my workshop.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with certain internet service providers

Work very well: my feedback

These are pricey but they do the job very well. Have had them for over a year and they operate rain, shine, storm, etc. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Works Great!
Cons
  • The design is not very aesthetically pleasing and may not blend well with the surrounding environment

Works as advertised.

I had to learn a little about bridge vs AP but once I got over that hurdle, it worked great. There are several online videos that help. I use it to extend my WiFi to the barn some 300 yards away. You need line of sight for reliable operation.

Pros
  • excelent product
Cons
  • There have been reports of connectivity issues with certain operating systems

Easily connected WiFi to detached garage 50 yards away.

I was skeptical at first if this would allow me to run my crypto mining operation from a detached garage around 50 yards away. I was pleasantly surprised that after configuring the WiFi bridge setting and mounting the device, my home network was instantly online, and fast too!

Pros
  • great bridge set up. Solved a remote building internet access problem.
Cons
  • Terrible device, very unstable.

Solid and reliable product!

Originally started with 2.4GHz, upon mounting them on the roof I could see about 50 other APs and the one I was looking for but the vast amount on interference from all the other APs just did not make it possible for a steady link. Purchased these 5GHz radios and installed them in the same location where the other 2.4GHz radios were and perfect link, with power set to 15dbm I get full 300Mbps link at just under 600ft, no obstructions other then few chimneys and few satellite antennas on roof…

Pros
  • Awesome
Cons
  • The installation process can be confusing and may require technical assistance

EnGenius has been the company I've been going to for years for my access point needs. I've been using this new EAP1300 for a while now and it hasn’t let me down a bit. It screams with multiple users and has a giant footprint. The looks are similar to previous models as seen in photo, but the size is a little larger. I’m guessing for more antenna space? The connections are hidden well on the back and when properly installed make a seamless and great looking access point. The software pops right…

Pros
  • good WiFi, always impressed with Engenius
Cons
  • Hard to set up. Would not buy again

Works great: my feedback

A bit difficult to set up but with the right computer geek, we did it and it is working great! Wifi and internet traveling about 800 feet from building to building with good service at the other end.

Pros
  • Excellent product. I use for wireless access point.
Cons
  • The product may have compatibility issues with older devices

Amazing Product good for me

Amazing product. Works exactly as advertised and maybe even better. Was able to shoot a wireless signal from a main house to a guest house and still receive over 50mbs connection.

Pros

Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with certain security protocols
