I was looking for a new case to replace my old 10 bay HDD and CD case. I gave up that old technology and switched to all SSDs and M.2 drives. So yes, bay holes are no longer needed. I like that most of the power cables are hidden and well routed behind the motherboard. My old case had the power supply on top, so the case was very heavy. In this fractal case, the power supply is located at the bottom and is therefore well balanced. The fan noise is almost the same as my old case. I thought this fractal case would be quieter, but it isn't. Don't get me wrong, it's quiet here. When I turn it on I wonder if it's on because I can't hear anything. I no longer have a hard drive, so I don't hear the hard drive spinning up like I did on my old computer. The presence of removable screens for dust and fluff is very nice. I can easily take them off for cleaning instead of trying to blow the dust out of the case's perforated holes with compressed air and getting everything airborne. It's still early so I'll have to wait at least a year before seeing if this helps fans pick up dust over time. Having the USB and power button on the top of the case is good as mine is on the floor so all ports are easy to see and access. I was considering getting a suitcase with a glass window to look inside. Is it really important for me to see what's inside? Do I want to see RGB lighting? I bought a case and a week later I just bought the RGB lighting. I like it so far so I'm glad I got the case with the glass panel. I would like to be able to buy a case with a ventilated lid or a fixed one so as not to throw one or the other away. This should reduce the cost of the case which is quite expensive and generates waste.
