I bought this coat for my 6 year old grandson. I increased the size so he can wear a sweatshirt underneath in the fall. This is a great three season coat. It reached mid-thigh. Lightweight and excellent value for money. The first clothes were for soccer practice. I put it under his shoulder pads and he trained in the rain for 2 hours. It was completely dry when he took it off. He says it's comfortable. And there is a full-length hood. Columbia always makes quality clothing. You will not be disappointed. We have bright yellow/green hi-vis clothing worn by rescue workers and construction workers. Great color for kids on a cloudy rainy day.
