Really like these to wear under tunic tees or dresses to have pockets readily available. When wearing these shorts with shorter dresses, the checker print is really fun and I like having them peek out. Totally squat proof according to my personal testing, but I did size up to make them more comfy so there was plenty of fabric too. Nice and thick, smooths things out and the zipper for the pocket in the back is very sturdy. There is sort of a top elastic that is sewn into the top of the shorts that can dig in when I'm feeling a little bloated, but I don't notice it normally, so I'm not sure what that is exactly. Overall, I really like the fit and quality of these shorts and enjoy the fun pattern too.
