This mount was easy to install. We removed the box lighting from the bedroom and replaced it with a ceiling fan. After removing the glass, we needed to install the brace and add the ceiling medallion. The spacer stretches easily and is designed to allow the box to be mounted flush with the ceiling, allowing us to mount the ceiling fan flush with the medallion. I have since installed the chandelier using Westinghouse braces stretched across the joists. It mounts easily and looks very secure. The mount is strong and can support much more weight than a ceiling fan needs.
