I read the reviews and to be honest was a little worried about the rattling and loss that others have written in their reviews. Well, I have to tell you, in my case, these ratings are not correct. And my case goes beyond the average commuter. Here's why: I have a 2001 Excursion, diesel no less. This tank is my daily driver. It's raised 6 inches and the tires are 35 inches. Which isn't quite factory (i.e. smooth). I drive 26 miles one way every day on my state's shitty roads, every day. PLUS: I drive this rig north to my property which is off dual track dirt track, mud track road, 50 acres of rough terrain (logs on ground, deep mud tracks, 35 degree turns). over the mountains). PLUS PLUS: I tow my tow truck, my boat and take a trip in the winter. Not always a smooth ride. This bracket has not shifted, loosened or failed in any way, shape or form. Perfect fit for my Escort Passport 9500. Best money I've spent keeps the radar detector up and out of the way and in fact due to its higher placement I get radar signals much sooner than before.
