Wow. Should have bought a Vitamix many years ago. I'm particularly impressed with the Vitamix Ascent. For a while I hesitated about Vitamix. The 5200 series with blender jar is so tall I couldn't leave it on the counter as it didn't fit under the kitchen cabinets. Some reviewers of the 5300 say it doesn't blend as well as the larger 5200. The E310 is much louder than any other Vitamix blender. My previous blenders have included the $40 Ninja blender, which does an amazing job of turning ice into snow. but Ninja can't do what the Vitamix can. If you just want a fruity daiquiri, Ninja might do the trick, but if you want to make green smoothies with spinach or kale, Vitamix makes a store-size smoothie with no lumps and a completely smooth texture. The fiber in cabbage is completely broken down. Each sip contains the same amount of kale, and you can see the color of the kale but not the actual kale in the finished product. Vitamix can do what Ninja can't. I also tried Blendtech which was a big mistake. The Blendtech had black plastic parts in the blade assembly mechanism that had cracked or otherwise failed, leaving small pieces of black plastic in my frozen blends. Blendtech has power without precision. In comparison, Blendtec is a Camero and Vitamix is a Tesla Model S. The Ascent 2300 has a stopwatch-style timer that tells you how long you've been blending. To get one touch programs you have to pay more for the 2500 model. On Black Monday there was a big discount on 2300 and only a small discount on 2300 hence this purchase. Everything I've mixed so far has turned out perfectly. This thing can turn sugar into powdered sugar or veggies into hot soup. You can pay for a few "almost as good" Vitamix blenders and live with the compromise for years, or do it all at once and enjoy the best. This is an excellent commercial blender that is in a completely different class. as Kitchen Aid or Easter. Do it. You won't regret it.
