In short, if you want bubbles and blue light you're probably better off take a normal bubbler and a blue light stripe. I bought this not knowing you would need an air pump and hose which was my fault so I ordered an air pump kit to use with it. After installing the hose and pump, it became apparent that this bubbler was not going to sink or stay where you placed it. I tried using some gravel and some other ornaments to make it heavier but it was very difficult to place it where I wanted and hide the pipe. One touch of the tube after insertion and it popped out instantly. Eventually I gave up and ended up using the stone bubbler that came with my pump and just using it as an extra light. The light isn't as bright as I was hoping so I ended up just ordering a regular blue LED panel.
