Review on Suoman 3-Pack Garmin Fenix 6 Tempered Glass Screen Protector - Anti-Scratch Shield for Fenix 6/6 Pro/Sapphire/Solar (Not for Fenix 6S/6X) by Alan Brewer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Heart rate monitor does not work properly and sometimes not

My rating has been changed from 4 to 5 stars because I have been able to make effective changes in my daily life based on new information collected from F6x during activity and sleep. In addition, GPS is very quickly blocked on the road. It's a really great watch and while I miss a few things about the F3 HR it's minor and the F6x is an improvement over the old model in every way. Coming from the Fenix 3 HR, I was hoping that the Fenix to Fenix upgrade/migration process would be very smooth. For example, custom actions are simply adopted or even the default watch face stays the same. Neither is true, and while I figured out how to create a custom action, Connect doesn't show a custom name like F3 did. No watch face quite like the F3 HR's simple but perfect digital watch face. My biggest issue with the standard F6x digital dial is that the minutes don't match the hours. However, the F6 Solar's digital face looks exactly as expected, with the exception of the sun sensor in the centre. I'm asking Garmin to show the F6x Solar's default digital face (with built-in hours and minutes and other data fields around it) to other F6x users, without the Solar of course. Coming to looks: the Fenix 3 HR has a matte gray bezel that can be worn with everything from business suits to shorts, while the F6x Sapphire's gray bezel is quite shiny, almost blued. Yay. The F6x transport band with sapphire crystal has nicks, while the older band feels better and thankfully was quick to swap out.

Pros
  • Screen protector
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
