The top is very difficult to put on and take off

The mug itself was large and I really liked the design. But the cover is terrible. It's really hard to get in and out. And with a small child trying to turn it on and off, it's frustrating. And then he made this awful squeak when he put it on, like fingernails on a blackboard.
