These pet ladders are very easy to assemble by simply snapping together. We bought a new bed and it was 3 inches higher than our previous bed. My friend had trouble jumping into bed so we needed a ladder. This is the ideal height for our bed which is 28 inches off the floor. I like that the ladder is plastic, easy to clean and very light. I taught my 20 lb Cavalier to go up and down stairs with treats and it took about 10 minutes. Now he uses them like a pro! The stairs are not very deep so I would recommend for small dogs. They are strong but should be pressed against the bed as shown in the picture. A great investment to save my friend's hips and prevent jumping injuries.
