I bought this because I have two desktops and want to restore a laptop that needs a replacement keyboard. My desktops and the laptop I'm restoring are over 7 years old so they all had to be covered with a new layer of thermal grease and to get to the keyboard I have to remove the motherboard which means removing the heatsink must, which also means that it must be redone thermal paste. So far I've built a computer, a desktop computer, with a quad-core processor at about 3.6 GHz per core with no overclocking (that's a lot for seven years ago - it's still the case today). Slightly warmed up with old thermal paste. Now it works cool as a pickle. The heat dissipation is so good that after turning off the power and opening the case, I don't notice any heat coming from the processor. This means that heat transfer to the heatsink for dissipation is rapid. Generally very impressed.
