Review on ATD Tools 5486: The Ultimate Heavy-Duty Battery Carrier for Effortless Handling by Rick Bear

Power mode can be misleading

I've had one for many years and it must have found a new home recently. In any case, my old one was much heavier than this one and was only marginally larger in one dimension. The tube on this new one is thinner and the knurled flat shank that goes through the round shank is a few inches shorter. The last is the dimension I mentioned earlier. This is enough to accommodate a standard sized car battery on the short side. It won't go all the way, so if you're having a gap problem, this might not be the tool you need. In summary, this is not a heavy duty tool and will not stand up to daily battery life like my old one. And I wouldn't expect it to remove a heavy truck or heavy device batteries, but it will be fine for your car and friends from time to time. They just don't make Maqum like they used to. Oh by the way. If you meet my old lady, please tell her to come home.
