Review on High-Performance Oreck Commercial Professional Upright U2000RB1: The Ultimate Cleaning Power by Bradley Wacks

As someone who relies heavily on product reviews when shopping, I found this a must for my other Revain customers. We bought this sweeper because we thought it would last for many years with no problems. After 14 months of use (only used twice a month, about 30 minutes each time) the ground pin on the cord broke off in the outlet. I found this odd as it was a "commercial quality" sweeper but figured Oreck was supposed to be the best sweeper company and they would take care of the problem. When I called customer service they reminded me that it was a 12 month warranty and that I could buy a new accordion and have it installed at an Oreck dealer. I am an engineer and I know that error like this is not normal. I have had other less expensive sweepers that have worked flawlessly for years. Unfortunately, companies like Oreck do not defend their products when the accordion is clearly either a manufacturing defect or a design defect.
