They work great! Don't expect them to get very hot, but they warm up nicely. Like heated seats in a car. I have two in a row at my labrador road shack. I laid them out on the rugs for the muddy river cabin and then put insulated kennel covers over the kennels. There is also a truck cover on the bed of the truck but I wanted one if it's under 40f as they can stay in there for hours traveling. With this attitude, the dogs were pleasantly warm even on cold days and they liked to sit in the kennel. They also came out refreshed and well rested. When I stuck my hand in the kennel, the ambient temperature was noticeably warmer than other cold-weather rides without heaters.
