Review on ViewSonic TD2230 10 Point Touchscreen Monitor, DisplayPort 1920X1080P, 76Hz, LED - VIEWSONIC INC by Daniel Cahill

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very narrow vertical viewing angle, image blurs quickly when viewed from above or below.

The picture quality is very sensitive to the vertical viewing angle of the screen. It's fine if your face is perpendicular to the screen, but if you raise or lower your head a little, the image blurs into dull, muddy colors very quickly. I was hoping to use it in a tilted position, like a control panel or audio mixer, and move it about 8 inches away from the front of the table, but it looks terrible. You have to lean directly over the screen to see a decent image. Slide back while it's reclined and it's blurry and hard to read. Since the stand can be fully unfolded, I expected a good picture from this angle - not even close. I was very disappointed. I'll hang it on the wall in the kitchen and try to find the best for the table.

Pros
  • Dynamic Contrast Ratio 50M:1; Two built-in speakers; viewing angle 178/178 degrees; Dimensions: 19.3" x 11.8" x 5.1"
Cons
