Quality is good, size chart is terrible

This is the second attempt with this company to order a jacket and I'll have to try for at third time. I am of medium height and build and the size chart has recommended M on both styles I've ordered but both times the coat is far too large. I am 5'7/164 lbs and the medium size in both styles could wrap around my chest by a good 8 inches. Quality of both items was good so I have no issue ordering again, but be aware that "Fits to size" isn't necessarily accurate.

Material does not look the same as what’s in the picture. Much cheaper material and coat is small for myself at the chest and arm length. I’m a large in everything but apparently an XL would have been what I needed. Returning the product and getting a real coat
