Update 06/02/2021 We still use and love this scratching post - our boy sleeps in the apartment every day. He's come a long way with us - around 13 hours in a fully assembled van - after that we had to tighten up a few things, but a lot less than for our lunch set! The wood is still super absorbent and looks good. Seriously satisfied and looking at other options as we would like to get another tree/apartment for another room. Update 10/10/18 - We spilled a huge cup of coke last night (yes, we also use it as a handy table next to the couch. Not a smart idea). Imagine my face when I realized dark coke was ALL made of white catwood. I thought it was dirty and looked very nasty. God how happy I was when I was able to blot the stain with a paper towel! Not just the majority, but the ENTIRE burial! That means the carpet was DRY and stayed as soft as new after getting wet. I have no idea what magic they made with this cat wood rug, I just wish our real rug was like this! It was a great purchase :-) First Review: Our little one LOVES this tree! We have it next to the sofa where we watch TV so the cat only uses the tree to play (he likes to cuddle so he sleeps on the sofa when we are around). As you can see from the photos, he's doing all sorts of crazy poses. I did cat pinch on each level which lured the older (and big) cat out. However, she prefers to ride on the ground. The tree wobbles a little when they're at the highest levels, but that's no surprise for a car tree of this height. Wobbling has never been a problem for cats. Overall we are very happy with this purchase, especially for the great price we got it for!
