I bought this bag to hold small objects for macro photography in the studio and it's great for that purpose. The base is heavy and made to last. The magnet arms are firmly attached to the base and have enough rigidity for my work. Hey QuickHands folks, here's a really useful accessory suggestion: imagine a device that lets you use magnetic hands in the field. Especially something that allows you to attach your hands to something non-magnetic like a branch or wooden fence post. Here's an idea: Check out the clip at the end of the Wimberly Plamp; Start with this clip and figure out how to attach some kind of metal disc to it. Once that's done you can attach the clip to anything it can get stuck on and then attach the Helping Hands magnetic base to the metal washer on the clip.
