I already have the super popular original version of this device and wanted to try this for comparison. The bottom line is that there is no comparison. Although this one costs about the same as the original, it is clearly an inferior fake. It just seems cheap in terms of the materials used, but it's not the same at all. It's also very noisy. What I like about the original is that it's quiet enough that you can sit and watch TV with your family members nearby, it won't disturb anyone and you'll hear perfectly. It's so loud it's annoying and I can barely hear the TV when I'm using it. It also behaves like it's losing power if you use it even though it's plugged in. I can't say I enjoyed it at all and it made me all the more grateful for the original. If you're thinking of buying one of these, go for the original. They're about the same price, but this one isn't.
