I used this to add a little extra support to a long wooden ramp. The width made it possible to quickly and easily attach two long strips along the entire length. It adhered very well to clean, untreated plywood and has remained intact to date, not lifting at all after a few months outdoors. For my purposes, I used a little less than half the roll, so there's still some left over if I reuse it. The handle is strong enough to provide extra grip and I have no doubt it will be good on steps or anywhere you need it. I bought the clear not the black just because it was cheap but I was surprised at how clear it really is. The texture only gives it a transparent/matte look.
