I was looking for a quiet keyboard, so that my keyboard is not audible when calling. I originally had a Logitech K120 and also bought a Microsoft 600 wired keyboard. This Kensington keyboard was the quietest of the three. I did a phone test using an Apple headset, and the person on the other line helped me judge which keyboard on the phone was the quietest. The Kensington was the quietest on the phone, only a space being audible when I was typing properly. The Microsoft keyboard came in second, and the Logitech keyboard, which was a few years old, was the loudest. The Microsoft had a deeper and smoother sound, while the Kensington had higher mechanical noise at times. The volume seems to depend on your technique. If you press quickly and take your finger off the key, the keyboard makes more noise. If you stick and hold your finger there to absorb the rebound vibration, it will be much quieter. In terms of comfort, Logitech came out on top, while Microsoft's keyboard came in second. The Kensington keyboard is very flat, like a laptop, so not as comfortable. If you're used to a laptop keyboard, you'll probably think it's okay. I didn't really like the action as I've gotten so used to the Logitech keyboard. All special Kensington keys worked on Windows 10 without special drivers. If you're looking for a quiet or near-silent wired keyboard for less than $25, this is probably your best bet.
