I hate spending big bucks on end tables and end tables. This is my least favorite piece of furniture and they are always so expensive. I didn't want to spend more than $50 each for something more or less considered. That's a decent value. Given that good nightstands cost $100 each, I'm not complaining. Fair warning the sides and shelves are made from that odd cardboard/extra thin plywood material that can be bent. A material that not even IKEA would use, but then again - for the price I'm not mad. I sanded them lightly and painted them matte black straight out of the box and replaced the hardware and they look a lot more expensive than they are. I would recommend it to those who are starting to replace old furniture with things they don't exactly hate but are still on a budget.
