The only parts that are really good solid wood are the top, 4 sides of the drawer and the frame (legs). The BOTTOM of the cabinet, the BOTTOM of the drawer, both SIDES of the entire cabinet, the BACK of the entire cabinet, and (most disappointingly) the FRONT of the cabinet door are CHEAP chipboard. I hate spending big bucks on end tables and end tables. This is my least favorite piece of furniture and they are always so expensive. Important Tips: I coated the threads of the screws with a LIGHT little liquid dish soap because the screws were difficult to get in - the coating made it so much easier. In addition, two wooden pins with an external thread were coated for two-pin connections. I put off collecting this table as I'm older, hard to see directions or small areas. Luckily, the instructions were just diagrams with no words, which actually made the process easier.
