I mean it's less than $60 - not sure what people expect for that price. The front part of the drawer, the cabinet door and the frame are made of wood; Sides, bottom, drawer bottom and back - melamine. All holes have been drilled in the right places and the lid is fitted. We bought two of these; I assembled the first one in 20 minutes and the second one in less than 15 minutes with just a Phillips head screwdriver. That's enough for now, and the best part is that it would be a sturdy little nightstand if I was willing to spend a few extra bucks to upgrade the sides with thin plywood. I doubt the cabinet or drawer inside can support much weight, but the top is strong enough to hold a small lamp and a couple of books. It really doesn't need to be said, but here we are: If you're looking for quality heirloom furniture then you haven't come to the right place.
