Review on AmeriLuck Super Bright LED High Bay Garage Light, Aluminum Constructed Adjustable Panel 500W Equivalent 60-Watt 6000 Lumens Black 1 Pack by David Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bright, and can spread that light over a large area.

Ridiculously bright while only taking 64 watts on the power meter. This lights up a large area in my garage and takes a fraction of the power of the old florescents it is replacing. It does get hot, about 70 F higher than ambient at the back of the aluminum heatsinks after running for an hour. I have a couple others that do the same thing, and they survived our very hot summer with no issues, so I don't think it's an problem.Nice thing about these is they need no rewiring, just screw them in a regular E26/27 light socket. It came with a Chinese socket, but it's plastic and does match US dimensions, nor does it meet US code approval, so I would not use it. If you need to install a lamp socket, buy one that meets code. There is a turn on delay of about one second. The light is a very bright white with a hint of blue, like a cool white florescent tube. The paddles swivel from horizontal to vertical, so you can send all that light to a large area if you want.
