If you're buying a bluetooth mouse to sit on your desk, I wholeheartedly recommend this mouse. It's easy to set up, comfortable to use, and generally does what I expect from a desktop mouse. but no cables. However, I bought this particular mouse to use with my travel laptop. I checked if it has a manual shut off feature and it does. But not only does the recessed button on the bottom of the mouse bring it back to the active state, but also a simple click of the mouse buttons. This is probably a great feature for a desktop computer, but unfortunately that means it activates when I'm in my backpack's accessory pouch. It would be far better if a manually deactivated product had to be manually reactivated - or to paraphrase Yosemite Sam the Bard, "When I say WOW, I mean WOW!"
