For those who say peeling hurts I'm sure it's because they don't know how to do it right! This little tool is designed for dicing garlic, which it does very well. There are 2 parts that can be taken apart FOR CLEANING. It doesn't take a genius (nor instructions) to figure out that the pieces with the longer green tongue corners are meant to be pulled out. Once you pull it out, all the extra stuff you want to clean will come out. I prefer this wonderful thing to a garlic press because I find the press leaves less after pressing. This thing just dices it up and keeps it relatively whole so you don't waste any juices or "meat" after pressing.
