This little fountain is neat… unless you live in hells buttcrack, Texas. It only works when directly under the hot, blazing sun. Once the sun begins to set, and it’s not right above it, it just squirts every few seconds. Therefore, the birds, who are desperately hiding in the shade to avoid death, don’t use it at all. They might sneak out when there’s a passing cloud, but guess what?! It doesn’t work at that time! I sent this back and ordered one that works at night, or even in the shade for that matter, so the birds can actually enjoy it. The little "bumpers” are neat though, keeping it in the center of the birdbath to avoid wasting water. So, if you live somewhere that’s not 1000 degrees during the day, and don’t have cloud cover, this fountain would be great for you!
