Review on PCIE WiFi Card Networking Adapter by Stacey Vang

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Works on Windows 10 and Linux, but not for long. DO NOT BUY!

I recently bought this for a cheap pc build. There are many reviews about this WiFi card not working with Windows 10. As of Windows 10 1903 (released May 19, 2019) this is completely fixed. Options: 1. If you have a recent version of Windows 10, make sure you have installed all updates. Update to the latest version (free).2. If you are building a system and planning to install Windows 10, grab Microsoft's Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and create a bootable USB stick based on the latest version of Windows 10. I have this card in a budget as mentioned above. build used. So I made a bootable USB in advance to install the OS. The installation went flawlessly and this wireless card connected immediately during the Windows 10 installation. This means that there is a compatible driver on the Windows installation media. I'm also installing Pop OS (based on Ubuntu Linux) and the wifi card was also connected during the install. UPDATE: Unfortunately, the performance didn't last long. 1 week after purchase this network card is dropping packets and keeps losing connection. I had high hopes, but unfortunately this card isn't even good for basic networking use. Do not buy!
