Decide why you buy them in the first place

I bought it for "environmental compatibility" and "sensitivity reasons" rather than because it dries faster. I only used shades of gray and used these for coloreds. Don't notice any marks on our clothes from the dryer balls when they come out, even when loading black/grey laundry. (Someone mentioned that this is the case, but that wasn't my experience.) The bullets seem to pull off and hold on to some debris/hair (you might want to pull that off). I did not notice that the bullets were weakened. after being used in multiple loads of laundry as others have mentioned. I also haven't added any fragrance yet as I've read instructions that say you must add it on a chill cycle or it might dissipate. (Odd) I don't notice any wrinkles, sometimes I notice a bit of static electricity, but I throw in a sheet to dry when I suspect it will (which is better than the three I usually do). There was mention of attaching a clothespin to the dryer balls to remove static, but I haven't tried it yet. I usually put in all 6 dryer balls for each load size. However, most of our laundries are very large. The "sensitivity" actually comes from a chinchilla, which shouldn't have any scents or anything else on their clothes. So I wash her clothes and dry them with dryer balls. She seems to complain less.

Pros
  • Save time and money. These little drying balls reduce drying time by 25%, saving time for more important things and money on utility bills. They are renewable and designed for over 1000 downloads.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
