Review on ELECROW 7" Portable Raspberry Touchscreen - CapACitIve, 1024X600 Resolution by Terronce Rhodes

The screen is very solid, the box is very well thought out, it has all the elements you need to work with the Raspberry Pi 4 out of the box, the RP3 connectors have to be ordered separately. I wish I had an extension cable for the MicroSD card because once you mount the RP4 behind the screen it becomes difficult to access the screen, also you should consider buying a large heatsink as this is not the case . I have one with speakers and while the sound isn't the best, the small speakers are very loud. No screen tearing or artifacts. On the raspberry pi you need to modify the /boot/config.txt file to get the screen to work with the correct resolution. On Raspbian, the default resolution is 1280*720 and the letters look too small. They will advise you to remove "dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-V3D" in the configuration file, but this will disable 3D acceleration. Just add the following lines at the end of the Config.txt file. I've tested it on Raspbian, Ubuntu, Twister OS, Lineage OS, and CrankShaft and it works fine on all of them. 60 3 0 0 0 This makes the screen work at 1024x576 instead of the advertised 1024x600, but the problem with 1024x600 is that it's not a standard resolution and so it prompts "dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-V3D" but this does not work on every operating system. The touchscreen works on every OS I've tested, including Windows, but Ubuntu has some issues recognizing the touchscreen after logging into the desktop, so it seems to be an Ubuntu issue. The touchscreen lacks a bit of sensitivity, but for the price this is a very good screen.
