Review on Premium Men's Organic Cotton Handkerchiefs for Gentlemanly Elegance by Johnny Mcnealy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not as good as bamboo

After a misunderstanding via email I was a bit unsatisfied at first. I'm so glad we made it. Jennifer, the owner of Organic Handkerchiefs, is very pleasant to talk to. She really wants her customers to be happy. So my rating reflects two things: my attitude towards these handkerchiefs and my attitude towards me as a buyer. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how much ironing these handkerchiefs would require. They are well made and don't contain the spray formulations that most manufacturers use to prevent cotton from wrinkling. That's a good thing, because if you really value organic ingredients, you don't use nasty chemicals. However, I'm a lazy whiner, which means I don't iron. For me the only way to keep them from wrinkling was to hang them up to dry. If you know the texture of cotton when it's hung out to dry, you'll know right away that it's not the best for your nose. For comparison, I have organic bamboo flannel (sadly out of stock) and it's mostly soft and doesn't wrinkle. As far as ironing goes, I should only rate them a three. Now, despite all of Jennifer's efforts to make me a happy customer, it's a different story. The company receives 5 points for this, which corresponds to an average of 4 stars. If you don't mind ironing, these are well-made towels. But if you're lazy like me, then take a closer look at flannel. A little later I will write a separate review on organic cotton flannel fabrics. Spoilers, they are 5! And the last thing to mention. Looking at some of the other reviews it seems like sometimes an accident can happen where the hem of the handkerchief can just fall out. Let me just say this is a small operation with good people behind their product. If you get one of these, you should talk to Jennifer first, she will definitely solve the interest problem. If it were a big company I'd say say what you think, but small companies have it hard enough fighting big boxes, so let them surprise you with their customer communication skills that no big box ever does will offer. :-)
