Review on 🧶 Caron Natura Latch-Hook Kit, Touchdown, 12x12 inches by Karla Richter

Bought as a gift for my son who has never knitted like this before. He opens the box and there's no latch, seriously, what latched gift doesn't have a latch? And to further complicate the task for a child who has never done such a craft, the pattern is not even printed on a grid, but on a separate sheet of paper. For an adult it's good, we can count and calculate it, but for a child it's not a very friendly child. Now we have to decide either to return this gift flip flop or order a snap hook and then I'll end up doing it for my kid as it's not just designed for them. I wouldn't recommend buying this particular latch hook as a gift or for those who have never hooked a latch - eh. they won't have the materials to do so, b. It's not meant to be easy to follow to recreate.
