So will this monitor fit a 17lb 34" monitor? Technically. Yes. But it didn't come without crazy torque, extra tools and compromises. This monitor might not have the best tilt feature, but it looks pretty good acceptable torque for tightening the tension washers it is possible to get this stand to work but actually it doesn't and it's a headache I couldn't get this stand to work due to the bolt system with the Tightening system is designed the way it is.It is impossible to tighten the screw enough without the nut slipping out of the poorly designed hole holding it in place.Once fully tightened the monitor will fall forward and the nut will fall /Bolt turns in place The slot next to the nut is not wide enough for a standard crescent wrench to fit in without the M to scratch/bend etall but that would be the only way to tighten it. I was able to tighten the connection sufficiently with a torque wrench after using an 8" crescent wrench and an 8" wrench. I had to put insane force on the bolt to keep the joint from falling forward - here we are talking about the force on the nut in pounds. my hands hurt Another disadvantage of this stand is that it does not lag side-to-side (horizon line) rotation. If you are using a heavy monitor, lightly touching the monitor or cables moving sideways can cause the monitor to tilt unevenly. The cable groove along the forearm is unusually narrow, marking thicker cables by their sharp metal edges. However, you can put at least 5 cables in it by sliding them into the small gap one by one (the crack opens up into a larger space, but the edges of the gap have rough sharp edges). Through hole mounting, but there is one for edge mounting. This makes me feel a little short since I'm using a through-hole mount. I have suggestions for improving this monitor stand: - easier access to adjust the force required to rotate the arm in ANY pivot point - complete overhaul of the up/down pivot bolt system as it does not meet advertised specs (no additional tools or workaround ) octagonal hole/plate retaining nut in place) -- Increase cable clearance at bottom pivot of monitor arm - larger plate for through-hole mounting (current mounting plate slides too easily during arm adjustment due to the force required to rotate the first pivot) even after tightening the hand screw. likely to be too tight - inclusion of a cable holder for through-hole mounting (even if it's a simple grommet or clip - your rest of your customer base is out) - redesigned the left/right "horizon" tilt to just have an adjustable one Bolts accommodate a non-adjustable pin. Conclusion: is this monitor available? Yes. Looks nice? Yes. Is it a legal solution with the specified characteristics? This is a high probability. You can probably get it working, but it won't be easy if you have a monitor that weighs over 15 pounds. I was finally able to get it to hold my Alienware monitors after finding a crescent wrench to hold the tilt screw when tightened. a little on the ratchet lever. The bolt/nut is no longer held by the punched hole in the plate that forms the tilting mechanism.
