I have a Dell XPS 13 (9333) that is 1 1/2 years old and out of warranty. I suddenly got a message that my laptop does not recognize the charger. It will still power the laptop when plugged in, but will no longer charge the battery. There was no visible damage to the charger. I tried spraying some detox on the contacts but that didn't help. After researching the internet I have come to the conclusion that I need a new charger. The original charger was a 45W model, the same as the one reviewed here. Dell's website lists a replacement (65W charger) that's twice the price. I was a little doubtful that the cheaper option would work. I am happy to report that this charger solved my problem. And it appears to be a genuine Dell product, not a fake. Assuming it will work over time, I couldn't be happier.
