I am very disappointed with these Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans as I got them for two reasons: Reason 1: They are supposed to be quiet but they are NOT QUIET. At 1500 rpm, none of the fans seem to be silent. To make these fans quieter you need to lower the fan speed down to around 600rpm and the only way to do that is via the fan controller, the BIOS if it has a good fan control feature, or software that overrides the fan speed can control the fan. Curve. Reason 2: They have to be the best fans money can buy, but I still get the same temperatures as with Corsair's quiet fans. The Corsairs are back in my suitcase and unfortunately I can't return three of them because I threw away the boxes. So people have learned their lesson, don't throw away the boxes until you're sure you're happy with your orders. I had to use fan management software called Argus Monitor to try and slow down these fans, which I managed to do. However, it is very unpleasant to hear them when they accelerate to 1500 rpm.
