I bought these for a new group of kittens I am raising. Of course they are elongated but nothing, sealing the end with tape didn't fix it. Kitten #4 took a full week to gnaw off an extra piece of a collar that I hadn't glued on, so I'd say they're pretty strong. The colors are bright and very pretty. The bells are also securely fastened, I've had collars in the past where the bells came off almost immediately. If you are purchasing this, note that these are NOT breakaway collars, so they are totally unsuitable for an outdoor cat. A cat with a collar can get caught on a branch or fence and become completely stuck, and these collars will NOT break in a fight.
