24 hour seller, received the item in a damaged box. The original packaging has tape on both ends but it is evident that the item has been previously opened as the tape on the top has been cut off. The box has signs of wear and damage. It looks like this item has been on display for about a couple of years or has been moved to another location and is not a brand new item. I am disappointed because I was planning to give it as a gift and the presentation of the box is not ideal for a gift. There are yellowish stains on the white apron, the white marshmallow below looks a bit greyish-dusty, it cannot be washed off because of the sparkle. Again, this item has been previously used or displayed long enough to show dust spots and discoloration. I love this nutcracker and am confident that if it were brand new (as advertised) it would make the perfect gift. Make sure you are buying from another seller as this item will be returned and you do not want to buy an item that is not brand new.
