So I stumbled across this product and read the reviews for the chemical free teeth whitening/cleaning method and was very intrigued. I saw a few reviews about the smell and using peppermint oil to help, but most reviews downplayed the smell so I got it without the oil. I have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell and these chopsticks stink. I hardly took it out of the packaging, it smelled so strong. I can't even describe how they smell here, otherwise it's bad! So if you're generally sensitive to smell, take peppermint oil with you. Otherwise it is unbearable. After soaking it in water with a few drops of peppermint oil, I was finally able to use it. I was afraid the bristles would be hard but in fact they are almost soft. After buying mint oil, I have not regretted this purchase at all! It's definitely not going to replace my toothpaste routine. Just a good thing between meals and after coffee! I'll try to report any results I see in a few weeks!
