I found these Asian-made caps to be quite stylish and they may be a good alternative to the significantly more expensive (but very well-made) wool caps of Irish, Scottish, or British manufacture. These are surely lighter in weight, as advertised, making them OK for multi season wear, but less warming in cold weather. They are smoother to the touch than wool and have a bit of a shine to them, I presume from the high synthetic content. I do notice that these caps tend to WRINKLE in a way that no woolen cap would ever do (see photo). It may be from shipping as the 2 caps were packaged in only a plastic bag. Ironing synthetics is risky but I may attempt it. One positive thing worth mentioning is that the hidden size adjuster works well. It is a thin strip of velcro that is is under the inner sweatband. You adjust it to your comfort and it is invisible. I would call that very clever, but I hope it has nothing to do with the wrinkled appearance of the cap. Overall, this is a good buy for a low price as long as you are not overly concerned about authenticity of style.
