easy. And rope grappling system

The hook and rope was exactly what I needed to hook branches and pull them over so they would drop away from my structure to prevent damages from happening. Worked well for me. The rope was the right diameter for throwing eady.

Pros
  • ‎Middle big max grappling hook with rope
Cons
  • The carabiner clip is not very easy to manipulate with cold or numb fingers

Great Tool! on my review.

This smaller, light weight grappling hook works perfect to safely pull down broken branches from our trees. The rope is long enough to stand well out of the way, and the hook is small, light, and very strong. :-)

Pros
  • ‎Stainless steel hook
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very compatible with all types of ropes or climbing gear

Buy hook or by crook

So throw this in a small tree. Have girlfriend or wife pull as you cut. Watch it drag them to ground as tree falls other way. Great fun and nice sharp object to play around with. I like it!

Pros
  • Small gaged rope but still very useful hook is perfect
Cons
  • The claws of the grappling hook are not very adaptable to different types of surfaces, such as smooth surfaces or surfaces with uneven textures

Not going to break this hook. It's a beast.

Use hook while magnet fishing. This hook is a beast. Hooked my rope to truck to pull things out of water. I have broke rope.with no damage to hook. Price is Right too. Trust me if you drag it often .it's not if you loose it.it's when. I would buy it again. Matter of fact getting ready to order another for a back up. Happy magnet fishing .

Pros
  • ‎0.75 Kilograms
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very useful for use in areas with strong currents or tides

Great for lightweight Outdoor usage

Came with rope and grappling hook rope is a very light weight type construction be very conscious of the weight restrictions on the rope

Pros
  • I like it and hope to used it this week.
Cons
  • The claws of the grappling hook are quite sharp and could potentially damage fragile objects

Useful Grappling Hook

I purchased this grappling hook in order to drag my pond for tree branches. The 3 progs worked great in snagging branches allowing me to pull them out of my pond. Very easy to use and well made.

Pros
  • I use it to remove logs struck on a waterfall
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very effective for use in areas with high winds, as it can easily become unstable

Works great!: my feedback

So, Like all my other reviews I wait awhile to test the product. I purchased a magnet fishing kit as well with this. I had also made a cheaper kit from home depot and ended up losing the home depot magnet, I used this hook to skim the floor where I lost it and ended up retrieving it. Worked out great!

Pros
  • Just a little smaller than expected but still a nice product
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very useful for use in emergency situations, such as rescue missions

Just right. good for me

Purchased this to remove logs floating in our pond. Works great. There is enough mobility in the carabiner/hook assembly and the hook is large enough to grab almost anything on the first toss. The rope is a little thinner than I would hope but works for our lightweight needs.

Pros
  • ‎Aluminum
Cons
  • The claws of the grappling hook can become clogged with debris, reducing their effectiveness

not heavy enough best in my review

for me i bought this to use while magnet fishing to retrieve some of the snags that haveyears of fishing line wrapped around them. it was too light too throw very far and tended too float across the silt bottom instead of really digging in. im sure it will work fine for other uses, but i need a heavier one

Pros
  • Used to remove a broke limb from a large tree. Worked great!
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very useful for use in areas with dense vegetation, as the claws can easily become entangled

Worked well for me: my feedback

Works great, grandchild dropped a brand new fishing pole in the lake.I was able to retrieve it easily with the grappling hook.

Pros
  • Use with caution. Those tips on the grappling hook are very sharp. Almost like a weapon.
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very useful for use in urban environments, such as retrieving objects from rooftops or tall buildings

Extremely light weight is not a plus

This hook is extremely strong, but at least for the application I used it for -- dragging trash (tires, pipe, rope, tools, etc.) out of the lake around my customer's dock -- it was too light in weight. In fact, the buoyancy of the grappling rope was enough to keep the hook from staying on the bottom. It needed about 8 oz. of weight added to be effective in this application.

Pros
  • Grappling Hooks
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very useful for use in areas with high humidity, as it can easily rust

Worked like a charm !

Used this to pull and drag out dead wood, branches, old lumber, and rusted fencing. Tied it on a braided rope and pulled out the items with my riding lawn mower. Very helpful. I have not been paid or compensated in any way for this review.

Pros
  • Arrived quickly and as described. Worked well on pulling a tree down.
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very versatile, as it can only be used for a limited number of tasks

Buy the good ones like this, not the cheapies

Definitely helped with some of my small tree removal, save some money into it yourself. these will come in handy next summer too when I start doing tree work again

Pros
  • I've been needing one of these for a while. Now I have one at a very good price, Thanks
Cons
  • The carabiner clip is not very compatible with other types of climbing gear

You get what you pay for.

This thing is a joke. I can't believe how tiny it is. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions before ordering. Spikes are EXTREMELY sharp - I took a grinder and file to mine otherwise this thing is a safety hazard. I was able to bull a bicycle out from a river with it, so I guess it works. What did I expect for $12?

Pros
  • Solid and strong, I should’ve bought the next size up.
Cons
  • The claws of the grappling hook can become damaged or rusted over time, reducing their effectiveness

What a great little tool.

I love this and it is the perfect size. I am in a ♿ and I use it to move big rocks and obstructions on my property. It is very well made with a good grip. Perfect for my needs and fast shipment. Hughly recommend.

Pros
  • After Sales
Cons
  • The claws of the grappling hook can easily become damaged or broken if used improperly

Nice grappling tool

I used it to get some limbs out of trees that I didn’t want to climb up for. Unsure if that’s the intended use but it did the trick for me.

Pros
  • Works well for removing tree branches from farm pond.
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very intuitive to use and requires some practice to master

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong and heavy. good for me

All I had hoped it would be - strong and heavy. I use it to pull fallen branches from my pond and it works very well for that use. The rope is strong too. My only quibble is that the rope should be seared on the ends to avoid unravelling, but not hard to do myself. Recommended.

Pros
  • ‎Rope
Cons
  • The grappling hook is not very effective for use in areas with steep inclines or declines

Revainrating 5 out of 5

great strong hook for my opinion

bought this to use while magnet fishing. and it had stood up very well! its made of a non magnetic material (aluminum?) so I can use it in combo with my magnet and not have it interfere with it. I have lifted bikes, shopping carts and very heavy tires, and it has not warped at all.

Pros
  • I got the big hook. This is no pretend hook. Mighty sturdy item.
Cons
  • Ordered hook w/rope, only received hook

Recovery System in my review

Totally awesome. lost a $140 fish net 30 feet down near my dock. Tried many ways to retrieve but until I use the grappling hook none of those ways worked. My son was able to recover and his second throw. Ya Hooo

Pros
  • I used to pull down dead limbs. Good quality and nice long cord.
Cons
  • The MHDMAG 3-Claw Stainless Steel Grappling Hook Carabiner is not very lightweight, which makes it difficult to carry around during outdoor activities
