Rechargeable? for lab supplies

I purchased these items to protect my astronomical gear from moisture damage during storage. This feature seems to work fine. However, the instructions say "rechargeable" when the crystals change color. Except that you can't see the color of the crystals at all through the individual packaging. How to understand that they need to be charged?
