The LM01 from Longman Technologies is the perfect entry-level quadcopter with GPS. For less than $100, you can learn all about the sophisticated technology used in more professional drones. You can also have a lot of fun flying this little guy and learn the basics of flying quadrocopters. The quadcopter itself is a good compact brushed motor quadcopter with a 1080p fixed camera. If you look through the lenses (which also serve as the under engine and undercarriage covers) you'll see gears driving propellers, some wiring and LEDs. The camera itself is very good. The picture quality is wonderful. Good clear video with very good colors. The camera can also be tilted down manually from 0° to approx. -45°. I tilted mine at -22° which gave me a better view than just straight on the horizon. It was a bit windy during the test flight. So in the video you can see that the quad pitched and rolled heavily to maintain its position. Videos and photos are recorded directly on your phone. So no SD cards to play around with. Antennas are not mentioned in the instructions, they are for beauty only. The REAL antenna is located in the controller housing. This can somewhat limit the transmission range. But you should still not try to fly this quadcopter further than you can see it. The actual control range and visual transmission range of this quadcopter is probably no more than 200-300ft at best. Also, you won't get a recorded image on your phone and the quadcopter may return to home mode automatically because it loses signal from the transmitter. If you can see the quadcopter clearly and know which way it's heading, you're probably within range. The GPS module is good, finds satellites quickly and is ready to fly within seconds. ATV processor is a bit slow. So even with the GPS fix, it's slightly off that point. But stay in this general area. cool As long as you do all of your flights in one large open area, you're fine. The battery is very good. This takes about 15-20 minutes depending on how aggressively you fly and what conditions you are flying in. It has two connectors, one for the ATV and one for the charger. The charger lets you know when it's charging and when it's done with high-visibility LEDs. You can charge from a laptop or from a 5 amp power adapter. I think this product would be more complete if it included two batteries. The package even offers space for two batteries. In fact, however, this drone cost less than $100. So adding another battery would likely increase the price significantly. The controller is a pretty standard controller for more advanced models. It has many key features and an excellent LCD display for flight data. The controller phone holder fits most standard smartphones. I just had an old Samsung Galaxy phone which is the max size it can use. My current phone is Note 20+ which is too big. The phone adapter space is flat on the side of the controller. This shrinks the phone to press any button on the side of the phone. I had to put some small felt bumpers in there to keep the controller from turning the phone off. The most impressive feature of this ATV is the app. This app is really intended for much more advanced models. This gives the user the experience of flying a more professional quad while still playing with a quad that flies great the first time and does NOT involve a huge financial risk if it crashes or gets lost. This app is so packed with features and support that once you learn how to use everything on this ATV, you'll be ready for anything. Overall I'm very impressed with this little guy. Its design reminds me of some real life drones I have. Its flight characteristics are very similar to one of my first favorite quads, which I flew constantly without fear of crashing due to its low cost and durability. I really like the LM01 in the air. It is very funny. Five stars.
