I love this fan! It is lightweight and easily fits in a purse or pocket. I had another portable fan with a detachable propeller powered by a D cell battery. It was bulky and I kept getting stuff in my purse, which prevented quick use. This one is thinner because it's rechargeable and there are no parts to lose deep in your pocket. Just grab and go! The three speeds are great and the lowest is the quietest. The medium and top speeds are a bit louder, but not bad. I mostly got it for my five minute "tropical vacation" which it's fantastic for. I am already planning to buy additional fans as gifts for some of my friends. The only thing I can't confirm yet is the battery life, but I plan on charging it regularly. It comes with a USB cable but no plug. There is a switch on the bottom of the device - turn it on to charge or use it. During charging, the speed switch button flashes red. During use, the ring is white. Very happy with this fan. I have the navy blue which is almost black and also comes in white and pink. UPDATE: After using this fan for a while I just wanted to add how much I still LOVE this fan! The battery life is really very good. Every time I took it out of my pocket it worked like a champ. I just reload every now and then. For example, I've only charged it once in the last month, and the charge hasn't run out yet. Of course, I only use it at intervals of about 5 minutes, so if you use it for a longer period of time, you have to charge it more often. Every time I use it someone asks what brand it is and where I got it from. And I've just ordered four more as gifts and will probably be ordering more for Christmas gifts. This is a great product at a very affordable price!
