I was excited to find brown mascara for sensitive eyes - so hard to find! - because black mascara looks so fake on me. Unfortunately, this product did not convince me. The color is great, but the brush and the amount it picks up aren't exactly outstanding. I can't get enough color on the applicator brush and it takes many layers before it looks like I've done anything. I've had good brown mascaras before, so I know it's not a wrong color issue. I don't know if it has to do with the composition of the product, the amount in the jar, or the design of the brush, but I suspect it's a combination of these factors. There doesn't appear to be much product in the jar and it's difficult to get enough mascara onto the applicator brush. I'm about to wash off the black mascara from my favorite mascara brush and I'm hoping using it in this bottle will make a difference. In this case I can update my rating. Good point: it doesn't seem to flake off in my eyes and is easy to remove, which my sensitive eyes and skin appreciate.
